Estonian Refugee Council is organising a Mental Wellbeing Day on October 12th from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Tallinn Central Library’s Foreign Literature Department as part of Mental Health Month. The aim of the event is to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and to provide practical opportunities for supporting wellbeing through yoga classes, creative therapy, and individual counselling.

The event is free and open to anyone who wishes to take care of their mental health and find new ways to better cope with stress and tension. During Mental Wellbeing Day, participants can relax in a yoga session, discover the charm of creative therapy, and contribute by making bravery beads for children suffering from cancer.

A volunteer trained in mental health first aid from Peaasi.ee will be present, ready to support anyone who wishes to share their mental health struggles, personal thoughts, and feelings, or who is concerned about the mental health of a loved one. You can recognise the volunteer by their white T-shirt with the message “olen olemas” (“I am here”), indicating their availability as a supportive listener.

On Mental Wellbeing Day, soothing herbal tea and fresh vitamins will be served. The café Kringel will provide delicious baked goods. Come and create positive emotions, meaningful moments, and discover new ways to support your wellbeing with others.

Schedule:

  • 11:30 AM - Yoga
  • 12:30 PM - Yoga
  • 11 AM to 2 PM - Creative therapy workshops
  • 11 AM to 1 PM - Opportunity to talk with a volunteer trained in mental health first aid from Peaasi.ee
